Vung Bau beach is located in the northwest of Phu Quoc hidden between Ong Lang and Bai Dai beaches. It has a semicircle with a length of about 6 km and is quite unspoiled, which is suitable for underwater activities such as swimming, diving, and sailing.

The easiest way to get here is to follow the small coastal road from Ganh Dau.

The beach area is quite well-equipped, so guests can stay overnight here with hotels and resort resorts, and experience activities like fishing, watching coral, or night squid fishing. From the pristine beach, you can see Nail Island.

The sea water here is quite peaceful and clear in both rainy and dry seasons. Vung Bau sea water is the combination of different shades of blue. The slope of the beach is also negligible, so it is safe for families with young children and those who cannot swim. Here you can catch starfish, conch and some sea urchins in the sand.

Tourists can rent or borrow a kayak boat from nearby resorts and move to nearby Nail Island. Or you can swim to the Nail island from the southernmost point of Vung Bau located in Mai Phuong Resort. At Nails island, you can snorkel and watch coral and fish.
